People considering taking Belfast vacations have a number of accommodation options open to them. These are, in other words, options in terms of where (and how) they can stay for the duration of their vacations. We will be looking at some of those, as well as the upsides and downsides to each of them. That is where we come to learn that people taking Belfast vacations have the following accommodation options:
Hotel accommodation option. This is by far the most popular of these accommodation options that are open to people taking Belfast vacations. The reason for that state of affairs shouldn’t really be too hard to figure out. For one, hotel accommodation tends to be convenient compared, for instance, to hostel accommodation (seeing that the hostels tend to have so many rules, and the rooms are typically shared thus messing with privacy). Hotel accommodation is also relatively cheap – compared, for instance, to vacation villa accommodation. On the downside, it is worth noting that hotel accommodation can be hard to get, especially during the peak seasons, for people who don’t make prior bookings. And while hotel accommodation may be cheaper than, say, vacation villa accommodation, it is nonetheless costlier than, say bed and breakfast joint accommodation, hostel accommodation and so on. Further still, whilst vacation villa accommodation may make it possible to simulate the ‘home away from home’ experience, that is often impossible for people who opt to stay in hotels.
Bed and breakfast joint accommodation option. This option is attractive for people who wish to take Belfast vacations but whose wallets are not particularly thick. In other words, the main attraction for this accommodation option is in the fact that it is rather cheap. You tend to find that you can find a bed and breakfast joint (lodging) room for as little as just 10 percent of what you’d have had to pay for a proper hotel room! The downside to this accommodation option is in the fact that the quality of accommodation offered is typically rather dubious.
Hostel accommodation option. This option is attractive for ‘unencumbered’ people taking lengthy vacations in Belfast. The upside to it is in the fact that it quite cheap. The downside is in the fact that the hostel rooms are typically shared – and you never really know what sort of roommate you may end up with. Furthermore, the hostels are usually governed by what some people perceive to be rather suffocating rules.
Vacation villa accommodation option. This option is attractive for people (especially families) taking lengthy vacations in Belfast. Its main attraction is in the fact that, properly implemented, it simulates a ‘home away from home’ experience perfectly. The downside is in the fact that it can be rather costly, and unsuitable for use by people on short vacations.
Personal accommodation option. This is where you simply get in touch with friends or family you may have in Belfast, asking them to see if they can possibly consider accommodating you for the duration of your vacation or finding a B&B Belfast. The main attraction with this option is in the fact that it is cheap (you don’t have to pay anything). On the downside, this is a rather inconvenient accommodation option, as it means having to live under the potentially suffocating ‘house-rules’ of the household you’ll be seeking accommodation in. It is also noteworthy that many people tend to avoid seeking accommodation from relatives or friends in Belfast (whilst taking their Belfast vacations or otherwise visiting the city) for fear of inconveniencing those friends or relatives.
